Katie's Story
When she first came to us in August 2007 Katie was very thin after being left in a house to starve. Her owners closed the door leaving her and her six kittens and a Dog behind. She was around 12 months old when rescued and this litter was her second! The local Dog Warden found them all after a neighbour contacted him about the abandoned dog. We got involved in rearing the litter because Boston Cat Welfare had a very high number  of cats and kittens in care at the time.  After her dreadful ordeal we decided that Katie deserved a life in the country so she stayed here at Bardonhill along with one of her kittens, Damien. Katie has now been neutered and spends her days hunting in the fields and hedgerows. Amazingly she is still a very friendly cat towards Humans!
